Metallica

Metallica é uma banda norte-americana de metal formada na cidade de Los Angeles, Califórnia. Os seus lançamentos incluem tempos rápidos, instrumentais, e musicalidade agressiva, a qual os colocou no lugar de uma das bandas fundadoras dos "Big Four" do thrash metal, conjuntamente com Slayer, Megadeth e Anthrax. A banda foi formada em 1981, após James Hetfield responder a um anúncio que o baterista Lars Ulrich colocou no jornal local. Em 2003, a formação passou a consistir no guitarrista principal Kirk Hammett (que se juntou à banda em 1983) e no baixista Robert Trujillo (membro desde 2003), bem como Hetfield e Ulrich. Antes de chegar à sua formação atual, a banda teve vários membros: guitarrista principal Dave Mustaine (que mais tarde fundou os Megadeth), e os baixistas Ron McGovney, Cliff Burton e Jason Newsted.
